About

Jack Wake-Walker is a British film & theatre director, writer, and video artist. In 2014, Jack’s poetry film ‘Photon’ was nominated for Best Film at ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival before being showcased at Berlinale. 

In 2018, Jack made the narrative short, ‘No Mileage’. It premiered at Huesca International Film Festival in June, and has since been shown and won awards at various international film festivals.

In September 2019, Jack attended Romanian screenwriting residency Pustnik with his feature project ‘Scarlett_123’. In August 2020, ‘Scarlett_123’ was selected for the Pitching Forum at FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival.

In October 2021 he took part in La Selva’s “Filming a strange planet” workshop with Werner Herzog in Lanzarote, where he directed the short film ‘The Resonance’. In May 2022 he completed his first feature length film, ‘Application Process’. Jack’s TV series, ‘Under the Gun’ – is currently in development with a Danish production company. Jack is co-founder of production company Worth The Wake Productions, based in the UK and Denmark.
